Fenomologi Guru PAI (Pendidikan Agama Islam) Dalam Mengajarkan Moderasi Beragama di SMP 3 Dawe

Abstract


Phenomenology is a science that studies phenomena and distinguishes them from things that already exist, and is a discipline that explains and classifies phenomena or the study of phenomena themselves. Religious moderation, or wasatiyyah, is an approach that emphasizes a balance between strong beliefs and a tolerant attitude towards differences. This study aims to identify the experiences and challenges faced by PAI teachers in teaching religious moderation at SMP 3 DAWE. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The research population included PAI teachers and 8th grade students in the 2024/2025 school year. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The interview results show that PAI teachers always show enthusiasm and are active in conveying an understanding of values such as tolerance, justice, and unity. Students are also affected in their behavior, such as respecting each other, respecting each other, and living in harmony with friends, both Muslim and non-Muslim.
