Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation process of developing a Mid-Semester Summative Assessment strategy to measure differentiated understanding of students in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subject at SMPN 3 Satu Atap Mijen Demak. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using observation and interview techniques. Abraham Maslow’s Needs Theory and Dunn & Dunn’s Learning Style Theory serve as the analytical framework to explore the influence of psychological needs fulfillment and learning styles on students’ learning outcomes. The findings indicate the effectiveness of the assessment in obtaining valid evaluation results, as well as a significant relationship between psychological needs and learning styles with students’ learning achievement. The implications of this study highlight the importance of adjusting learning and evaluation strategies based on students’ needs and learning characteristics.
