Focus and Scope

At-Ta'dzim: Journal of Community Development welcomes high-quality English and Indonesian manuscripts resulted from research and community service projects in the scope of Islamic studies, religious development, and social-religious education, which includes, but is not limited to the following topics:

  • Islamic Community Development: Strategies and practices in empowering religious communities.

  • Social-Religious Education: Integrating religious values into formal and non-formal education.

  • Interdisciplinary Islamic Studies: Exploring the intersection of religion, culture, and modern society.

  • Religious Moderation: Research and initiatives promoting harmony and tolerance within diverse communities.

  • Local Wisdom & Etnopedagogi: Preservation and integration of local religious values (such as Gusjigang philosophy) into community life.

  • Philanthropy & Da'wah: Contemporary management of Zakat, Waqf, and innovative methods in religious outreach.

Peer Review Process

Each article sent to the editor will be selected through an initial review process by the Editorial Board. Next, a plagiarism check will be carried out using the existing plagiarism detection tools to ensure the originality and integrity of the work. Some policies in the review of Jurnal At-Ta'dzim: Journal of Community Development include:

  • Reviewer Assignment: Reviewers with expertise in Islamic studies, social sciences, and community development will review any submitted paper.

  • Double-Blind Review: The review process employs a double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from each other throughout the process to ensure objectivity.

  • Review Criteria: In the review process, reviewers consider the correspondence of the title, abstract, discussion (findings/community impact), and conclusions.

  • Core Assessment: Besides structural alignment, reviewers also examine the originality, scientific and social impact, the depth of community engagement, and the relevance of references used in the paper.

  • Ethical & Local Values: For manuscripts focusing on community development, reviewers will also consider the sensitivity and appropriateness of the approach regarding local wisdom and religious values.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
