Jurnal At-Ta’dzim: Journal of Community Development is a peer-reviewed journal committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, guided by the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Published twice a year, this journal requires all involved parties—including authors, the editorial board, reviewers, and the publisher—to adhere strictly to these ethical standards. The code of conduct is designed to ensure a transparent, objective, and accountable environment for disseminating research on community empowerment and religious studies.
Regarding Editor Ethics, the editorial board holds the responsibility of reviewing every submission thoroughly, transparently, and fairly. Editors possess the sole authority to accept or reject a manuscript based on the board’s evaluation and its compliance with copyright laws and anti-plagiarism policies. Beyond providing clear writing guidelines and ensuring a smooth review process, editors must remain impartial, regardless of the author's gender, ethnicity, religion, or citizenship. Furthermore, the editorial team is strictly prohibited from disclosing any confidential information regarding the manuscripts or using unpublished content for personal gain.
In terms of Reviewer Ethics, reviewers are responsible for providing clear, measurable, and comprehensive recommendations within a specified timeframe (5 weeks). They must conduct the evaluation process professionally and independently, focusing solely on scientific truth and social relevance. Reviewers play a critical role in ensuring that all references and citations are accurate and accountable. Throughout the double-blind review process, reviewers must maintain absolute confidentiality regarding the manuscript's details and are forbidden from utilizing the author’s ideas for their own advantage.
For Author Ethics, individuals submitting to Jurnal At-Ta’dzim must declare that their manuscript is an original work resulting from their own research or conceptual thought, free from data manipulation and plagiarism. Authors are required to confirm that the manuscript has not been previously published or is not currently under consideration by any other publisher. It is the author's duty to provide accurate citations for all external sources used. Additionally, authors should agree to necessary editorial refinements that do not alter the core substance of their work and must understand these ethical guidelines to prevent any potential conflicts of interest.
Finally, Journal Manager and Publisher Ethics involve the responsibility of overseeing the entire publication cycle—from editing and peer review to final layout—in accordance with scientific journal standards. The publisher is dedicated to safeguarding academic freedom for both editors and reviewers, allowing them to perform their duties without external pressure. Moreover, the journal management is committed to protecting intellectual property, maintaining privacy, and upholding editorial independence to ensure the growth of knowledge and the betterment of the community.
